How Personal Qigong works
Traditional Chinese Medicine recognises 5 elements that make up human life.
Earth, Fire, Water, Metal and Wood.
For full health, these need to be in balance. They rarely are, and the imbalance is often related to the challenges we face which make us stronger.
Getting to know our imbalances, our causative elemental proneness, and even the missing element, is a powerful way to support ourselves.
Qigong which targets your elemental make up is an efficient use of a daily self help slot!
We will look at your elemental tendencies in an hour long in person or Zoom call.
I will then send you a Qigong 'prescription', by video link, to be practised every day for 28 days. The 'prescription may be one x 20 minute session or 2 or 3 shorter sessions throughout your day.
Every week we will speak for 10 to15 minutes to see if the form needs to be changed. I will also be available to contact via email between coaching sessions.
My Personal Qigong forms are rather unique based as they are on training in Qigong, Shamanism and with Dr Stephanie Mines PhD (Neurologist specialising in Trauma and Shock).
A recent case study
Lorna wanted to start a business as a Coach. She has Wood element compromised and Fire missing. Her planning and visioning skills needed supporting on a daily basis (Qigong for Wood). We called in Fire with Fire-type Qigong movements, enlightening her creative spark. Then added some self encouraging words to be repeated daily, based on what we had discussed during her interview. In this case a feeling of being 'too much" as a child and hence 'disappearing' herself even as a 50 year old. This is not Psychotherapy, just time tested coaching techniques plus qigong to make our goals more attainable.
The price of an hour plus long Zoom consultation, 3 coaching calls and a personal video is £80 with the option to continue coaching at a discounted rate after an initial month.

Qigong for Mobility and Rehabilitation
One of the beauties of Qigong is it's simplicity. In terms of starting or returning to exercise this Form - called Fragrant Buddha - relies on engaging the mind in a story set in nature. The mind finds stories set in beautiful places it hard to resist so it is more likely to 'turn off' thought such as 'I can't move my arm sideways' or ' 'I will fall if I stand up'. Messages of pain are still there to protect us, however people can often do more than they think when they let the body decide!! Try the form here!
